Cucumber and Garden

Finally our cucumbers have grown!!!!!!! We ate one cucumber and pickled the rest. They were delicious. This is the way we did it.

Ingredients

cucumbers, vinegar, mustard seeds, dill, water, garlic and a jar

Instructions

1. cut the cucumbers in spears.                                          

2. cook the vinegar water and mustard seeds at medium heat

3. Use a jar and put a clove of garlic in. 

4. Put the cucumbers in and pour the vinegar, mustard seeds, and water in the jar.

5. put the dill in (I forgot to put it in so we put it in last).                          

         It's really good. Next year I'm just going to grow cucumbers, then sell them. We got a bunch of tomatoes, but then the plant died They were tiny tomatoes. The lettuce was delicious.  It's not like the kind you get from the grocery store.   We picked it one leaf at a time.

Ashni Go

My sister Ashni started fencing this month and got put in to a tournament on Saturday. She did really good on her first tournament she got up to 3rd place. She won ... i think 5 games and lost 0 , but on the elimination round a girl beat her from Memphis . other then that she did really well and got a bronze medal here are some pictures of here fencing and a video plus shes in the blue and white stripes .

 My sisters and I started a garden.  There's more than just the picture. In this pictures, we have lettuce and  cucumbers . The rest is tomatoes, peppers, green beans and mint.  I love plants.

room make over

On Sunday mom, me and my sisters redid our room. I love rearranging things. We don't have that big of a room, so we don't have that much stuff to rearrange.  Our room is just a little bit smaller then our tittle sisters  room.  Here are some good pictures of our room -

Family Dinner

On Sunday night I made a dinner and dessert all by myself for my family.  For dinner I made an Alsation leek and onion tart with asparagus and salmon.  For dessert I made mini napoleons.  I had to make the pastry cream early and I made it from scratch. My mom and sister made homemade ginger ale. I made a little book with all the recipes in it, ingredients, the amount of money it would cost. I was very happy with what I did.  My little sisters Bijou and Zion were tired and cranky while I was making dinner, but they made it.  It was a late dinner, but a good one. Spring has come

spring has finally come WE ARE STARTING OUR GARDEN . but I'm a little worried about it because in Mississippi or oxford in spring the weather s crazy its always dark and theirs tornado warnings or tornado watch or thunder storm warning o my mom and me were thinking we can just put a plastic top or something over it over it .I now were going to grow mint gr. beans, pepper, cucumber, spinach, lettuce, and tomatoes that is as much stuff i think were going to grow. We have these humongous tree's in or back yard because we never rake our leaves in the fall. For a long time we didn't now Wye there was these beautiful bird i our back yard and now my mom just figured out that its the leaves theres always bugs under the leaves so the bird s can get under the leaves and eat the bug . SUPRISE trip to St. louis

My mom was planning a surprise trip to St. Louis. None of us knew but a couple of fiends and my dad. My mom snuck and did everything for the trip without us knowing. She packed breakfast, clothes,and activities for the road.  It really was a surprise for all of us (my sisters and my grandmother).  My mom woke us up at like 5:30 am on Friday. When she woke us up, we were all like "What's wrong? Do you have to go to work?" She was like, "No. WE'RE GOING TO ST.LOUIS FOR THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS!" I was the only one who understood right away. My other sisters took a minute to understand that they were actually going to St.Louis.  So we got to my grandmothers house at 12:00 pm. We actually surprised our grandmother, too.  My mom never actually surprised her before. We had a very good time that weekend spending time with our family.
